This homeowner reached out to us because of how moist and humid their home felt in the summer, and they knew it was due to their crawl space. They were hoping to get that problem under control and that doing so would help with their energy efficiency. Our talented crew was able to make all their dreams come true! By encapsulating the underside of their home, we were able to majorly decrease the humidity content. This will help protect the floors, keep the home naturally cooler, and put less stress on it to keep temperatures down. This is largely done in part by our powerful yet efficient crawl space dehumidifier. We're very happy we were able to help this homeowner!

Years of moisture problems had caused damage to this home and its floors, but our team was unable to do much of this and make sure further damage is prevented. In the after image, you can see two components that play a large part in making this happen. The underside of the home is no longer left fully exposed, now protected with our CleanSpace Barrier. This helps fight moisture from the ground, the walls and supports of the crawl space. Also seen in the image is our system of Smart Jacks. These supports are installed permanently under the home and will continue to level out and support the floors that were affected by moisture. Unseen in the image is our crawl space dehumidifier and sump pump system. These work in tandem to collect moisture from the air and ground and remove it from the crawl space. All together this makes our encapsulation system, the ultimate protective measure against moisture!

Job Stories From Baton Rouge, LA
Sump Pump and Dehumidifier in Baton Rouge, LA

All three things you see in this image, the CleanSpace Liner, the sump pump, and the crawl space dehumidifier, make up our encapsulation system, which is exactly what these homeowners needed. The dehumidifier tackles the excess humidity, while the liner and the sump pump take care of water from both the soil and external sources.

Moisture Control in Baton Rouge, LA

This homeowner had noticed that their floors felt unusually soft underfoot and that there was persistent moisture looming in their crawl space - a red flag for any home's structural integrity and air quality. Understanding the urgency, our team was quick to respond. The process kicked off with a hassle-free contact to our Customer Care team, setting the stage for a focussed inspection. A trained System Design Specialist from our Sales Team visited the home, bringing years of experience and a keen eye for detail. The diagnosis? An urgent need for an encapsulation to tackle the moisture and stabilize the flooring - enter our CleanSpace solution. CleanSpace, a state-of-the-art vapor barrier system, was the perfect fit. Designed specifically to combat moisture, it works by meticulously sealing off the crawl space from earth's dampness while also dramatically transforming the space into a dry, usable area. Our production team, detailed to perfection, installed CleanSpace with finesse. The job wasn’t just about the installation but ensuring the homeowner felt minimal disruption and was informed throughout the process, embodying our mission for a remarkable customer experience. Following the clean and efficient installation, we didn’t just leave a clean space behind but also a healthier home environment and reinforced floor integrity. The outcome? A previously damp and worrisome space was converted into a dry, efficient part of their home. No more soft flooring issues or concerns about the unseen impact of crawl space moisture. Another homeowner was left with peace of mind, knowing they received a reliable, long-lasting solution tailored specifically to their needs.

Full Encapsulation in Hattiesburg, MS

When a homeowner in Baton Rouge, LA, discovered persistent moisture issues threatening their home's crawl space, they turned to us at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions. They were particularly concerned about the long-term effects of moisture and were eager for a solution that included a sump pump installation and crawl space encapsulation to guard against moisture issues. Once our Customer Care team gathered details about the issue, they scheduled a home inspection where our System Design Specialist carried out a thorough evaluation. It was clear that the crawl space was in dire need of our expertise. We recommended installing our CleanSpace encapsulation system to provide a durable moisture barrier along with the efficient SaniDry Sedona to keep the area dry. The real transformation began when our skilled production crew arrived. The team laid down the CleanSpace liner, meticulously covering every inch of the ground and walls to seal out moisture. This liner is not just a barrier, but it’s specifically crafted to withstand the test of time, ensuring moisture stays out. Next, we set up the SaniDry Sedona, a compact but powerful dehumidifier designed to keep the air dry and healthy. The final addition was a reliable sump pump, put in place to deal swiftly with any water that dared enter, pumping it out and away from the foundation of the home. By the time our team cleaned up and left, the homeowner was already feeling the difference. The once damp and musty crawl space was transformed into a dry, clean, and fresh area—strengthening the structure's integrity and improving the overall air quality inside the home. For us at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions, it was another day's job toward ensuring homeowners live in a safe, moisture-free environment.

Crawlspace Clean Up and Encapsulation in Baton Rouge, LA

Mold and a nasty crawlspace prompted this homeowner to give us a call. Due to the 7 open vents and lack of an encapsulation system, his home was having humidity issues. Air rises from the ground, and all the air that enters your crawlspace, rises up to your home. So if the crawlspace is humid and moist, your home will be too. We were able to propose and install our solution that seals off the vents and maintains a clean and moisture free environment. We left with a happy customer!

We would like a new vapor barrier installed. Brick was added to our home at some point, and we had a leaky pipe we recently fixed, so mold or fungus has grown down there. We aren't sure if there isn't enough ventilation or if the leaky pipe caused the issue by itself and would love to talk about dehumidifiers or ventilation solutions. Thanks!

Our house was insulated with spray foam in 2022 but there are remaining issues with standing water underneath our home. Significant amounts of moisture are still affecting the home, especially around the floor vents. We are looking to fill the holes with standing water, lay down a moisture barrier, and potentially encapsulate the crawl space.

We just purchased a pier-and-beam home with weep holes. The air in the home is moist and stagnant, and it has been recommended that we install fans to circulate the air.
Project Location: Baton Rouge, LA
My house is a pier and beam style house. Rain water is getting under the house and even though I installed a sump pump, the humidity from the water is getting into the subfloor, migrating to the hardwood floors and making them cup and buckle. I am hoping to find a company that can install a dehumidifier and close in the crawl space under the house. Is this a service you provide?
Project Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Our pier and beam home was built in 1908. In the summer the humidity in the home, particularly the 2nd floor and attic is bad. I am hopeful that incapsulating and improving drainage will help with this issue.

We have a sun room created by a previous home owner which is about 18 inches above the outside grade. Effectively there is a 18 inch by10 ft by 20 ft "crawl space" beneath this room accessible only from a very small ( 24inch by .36 inch ) gap in brickwork - this protected by a decorative iron panel Looking in you can see insulation which has fallen form the wooden floor structure - looks damp Need to make sure deterioration in this space does not impact the sunroom - hence this inquiry
