This raised home in Braxton, MS had an open crawlspace that was holding water and causing the subfloor insulation to fall. Insulation is beneficial everywhere in your house, except your crawlspace. No other part of the home is as vulnerable to moisture damage as underneath the house, near the ground.
Rick Killingsworth performed the initial inspection and showed the homeowners what kind of issues they were facing. He was able to introduce our products and come up with a solution that best fit the needs of this home. Our team closed up and encapsulated the crawlspace. The difference between encapsulation and a moisture barrier is we don't just lay down plastic. We totally seal up the crawlspace with a 20 mil liner on the ground and up the walls. Then we install a sump pump in the ground and dehumidifier on top to keep the air dry. This will heal the crawlspace of moisture problems and prevent future issues from developing.
