You can see the water reflecting the beams above it. You can also see that a sheet of plastic is down. This is why we don't recommend just laying thick plastic, this is not waterproofing or a vapor barrier of any kind. To waterproof the crawlspace, you must seal everything off from the inside; vents, holes, slits, access doors, etc.
The production crew pumped out the existing water, treated the mold, then installed a vapor barrier over the crawlspace; complete with a dehumidifier, a sump pump, and a drainage system, custom designed to flow water away from the house.
A beautiful home in Kosciusko, MS was having serious issues with all of the standing water in the crawlspace. The moisture readings from the wood joists were high, and it was causing musty smells inside the house.
