In most cases, the crawl spaces we come across are spaces of exposed dirt, usually wet and messy. As you can see in these photos, this crawl space was actually on top of a concrete slab. But even with this large difference, as you can also see, there are many wet areas of concrete. Same as dirt crawl spaces, the underside of this home needed moisture protection. Our same solution was put in place, our encapsulation system. A durable vapor barrier, a dehumidifier, and a sump pump system were all strategically installed to take care of moisture from any form it comes in. This crawl space was already pretty neat, but we made it even better!
Whenever it rained, water from the nearby slope would send water directly into this homeowner's crawl spaces. Overtime, this created a bad moisture/humidity problem. The effects could be seen on the top side of their home, most noticeably the buckling floors. In order to take care of this moisture problem and prevent further damage, our crew came in to seal off the crawl space and install our encapsulation system. This system includes multiple different ways to fight moisture, like the CleanSpace Barrier you can see in the photos. Combine this durable vapor barrier with our crawl space dehumidifer, sump pump system, and an airtight crawl space door, and the perfect solution is formed. This crawl space is now safe from runoff, water intrusion, and high humidity levels!
In these two images you can see a standard crawlspace without and with our durable CleanSpace Liner. The underside of the home appears to have had a regular vapor barrier placed at some point, but as you can see, it was not doing it's job very well. With the CleanSpace liner, not only is this crawlspace much more protected, it is also given a fresh, new look. This clean and conditioned area could even be used as safe storage now!
These two images come from the same crawlspace, and show you the difference between two different moisture barriers. The first is a standard vapor barrier that we found under the home when we first arrived. This was the homeowner's first attempt at solving the buckling in her floors, but as the floors continued to grow worse, it was obvious it was not doing the job. The second image displays the crawlspace after we installed our durable Cleanspace Liner. It has the same thickness as a pool liner, perfect for blocking out moisture from not only the ground seepage, but from the foundation walls as well! With our full encapsulation system installed, buckling floors will no longer be an issue for this homeowner.
This driveway and its cracks have been sealed by our NexusPro Sealant, preventing further water seepage and erosion that would have just made this situation even worse!
