Mold Control in Madison, MS
Challenge
This homeowner is particularly sensitive to mold and wanted a lasting solution, not just to address the existing mold, but to help prevent the conditions that allow it to return. The crawl space had heavy mold growth throughout, making moisture control a top priority. That's when this homeowner decided to call MidSouth to help. Design Specialist, Tristan came out and gave a free inspection to assess the issue.
Solution
Mike and his team installed a full crawl space encapsulation with mold treatment to address the existing conditions and isolate the crawl space from outside moisture. To provide additional moisture control and protection, the project included three sump pumps, two dehumidifiers and two Aspen Air Systems. With the crawlspace encapsulated and equipped with multiple layers of moisture and air-quality protection, the homeowner now has a controlled environment designed to help keep moisture and mold from coming back.
Because the homeowner was so eager to address the mold concerns, they also plan to continue improving the home with smartjacks and push piers in future projects with MidSouth.
