Here is one of our homeowner's crawlspaces before and after we installed our signature SmartJacks, that have since removed the problem of sagging and creaky floors for this home over in Coushatta, LA.

A caring homeowner reached out to us from Kaplan, LA, expressing concern about her elderly mother's home. The floors had become soft and posed a risk to her mother’s safety. Upon her call to Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions, our Customer Care Specialist quickly scheduled an appointment for a home inspection. Our System Design Specialist then visited the property, conducting a thorough inspection of the crawl space. It was clear that excess moisture and high humidity were the culprits behind the compromised flooring. Our specialist presented a comprehensive solution tailored to address these issues and prevent future occurrences. Shortly after, our experienced production team got to work. We began with the installation of CleanSpace™ Drainage Matting, which was attentively cut and laid out in sections across the crawlspace floor. This provided better drainage, softened the floor and increased its structural integrity. We then installed the CleanSpace® liner, effectively encapsulating the area to keep moisture at bay with its robust and mold-resistant properties. To tackle the humidity and ensure healthy air, we fitted a SaniDry Sedona system. This efficient dehumidifier ensured that the crawl space maintained the right humidity levels, eradicating the moisture-dependent mold environment. Finally, our team installed the TripleSafe sump pump system, offering triple the protection against possible water intrusion. By the end of the project, the once-uncertain crawl space had transformed into a dry, stable foundation. With the subfloor reading at a moisture level of 44.7%, this home was in desperate need of some moisture control and waterproofing. The subfloor and joists were literally wet to the touch due to the crawlspace being open to the outside elements. Another contributing factor to this moisture problem was the fiberglass insulation that was originally installed. Sadly, this product does more harm than good under the house by absorbing water like a sponge and keeping it nestled close to the wooden parts of the foundation. This always leads to mold and rot, creating problems down the road. 

Our team was able to clean out the falling insulation and debris, install a sump pump in the ground, and encapsulate and seal off the crawlspace. We also include a dehumidifier that will help maintain the dry atmosphere under the home. We left with a happy homeowner!
