You can see the water reflecting the beams above it. You can also see that a sheet of plastic is down. This is why we don't recommend just laying thick plastic, this is not waterproofing or a vapor barrier of any kind. To waterproof the crawlspace, you must seal everything off from the inside; vents, holes, slits, access doors, etc.

The production crew pumped out the existing water, treated the mold, then installed a vapor barrier over the crawlspace; complete with a dehumidifier, a sump pump, and a drainage system, custom designed to flow water away from the house.
