Moisture issues under this home caused a variety of problems for this homeowner, mold, smells, buckling floors, and more. Fortunately, we also have a variety of issues made to tackle each one. A durable CleanSpace Liner covers the entire underside, blocking out water seepage. In the most strategic spot, our Sump Pump system in placed in the ground, containing multiple pumps for back ups in rough situations. There is also a dehumidifier, designed to keep the entire space lowered to a certain humidity level that will not allow mold to continue to thrive. Everything comes together to form our Encapsulation System, the perfect solution for moisture issues.
These two images were taken inside the same exact crawlspace and show the drastic difference between our CleanSpace Liner and the vapor barrier that was previously in the crawlspace.
Here is a photo of the state of this homeowner's crawlspace when our design specialist, Corey, first did his initial inspection and estimate. Its your typical messy crawlspace with a moist ground floor. This moisture was playing a large part in the sinking floor problem the homeowner reached out to us about. In the second image, you can see the crawlspace after Corey designed a system for the home and one of our talented production crews made it a reality. The mess is gone, and more importantly, the moisture will no longer be a problem. The white CleanSpace liner you see all throughout the crawlspace is acting as a barrier, keeping out ground water seepage. Unseen in the images, is our energy efficient crawlspace dehumidifier and our perimeter drainage system. Both working alongside the CleanSpace vapor barrier to stop moisture, water, and humidity from affecting this home.
Our foundation repair crew's main goal is to first stabilize the home, always in the safest manner. We do not want to push the home further than we should and create more damage. Sometimes in the process of stabilizing, we are able to achieve some lift. You'll notice in these two images that the crack between the window and the wall has shrunk, and the separation in the brick has gotten closer. The most important part, preventing further settlement was achieved, and we are happy to see we could help with some of the cracking as well!
These two before and after images really showcase the upgrade that the CleanSpace Liner is, compared to a regular vapor barrier. We come across many crawl spaces where vapor barriers had originally been lazily thrown onto the dirt floor, resulting in a pulled away, torn, dirty mess of plastic once we arrived. The CleanSpace Liner, as you can see in the after image, is tightly secured not only to the floor of the crawl space, but to the walls, supports, and around all odd steps and curves. The CleanSpace Liner is also much thicker and durable than the average liner, meaning better protection over more surface area!
