Though they may look much different now, these two images were taken in the same crawl space in Forest, MS. The drastic change is due to our encapsulation system, a moisture-proofing system this home was in desperate need of. The homeowners originally called us about buckling floors, a side effect of crawl space moisture that only gets worse over time. At one point they had tried to combat this with the vapor barrier you see in the first image, but this clearly wasn't cutting it. In the after-image, you can see its upgrade, the CleanSpace Liner. This liner is much more durable AND covers much more of the crawl space. This solution works together with our crawl space dehumidifier and sump pump system to create a regulated space that keeps itself dry from many forms of moisture. Buckling floors are no longer a worry!
This crawl space in Forest, MS was one of the messier ones we've came across. From this image alone you can see plenty of spider webs, falling insulation, mud, and a lot of non-purposeful neglect. Under the insulation and mud you can spot an old standard vapor barrier that the homeowners had installed a while back, but they were unaware that it wasn't quite doing its job and that it had gotten so bad under the home. We sent one of our design specialist out to do brave into the mess and do a thorough inspection. After creating his estimate and plan, the homeowners were happy with what they had seen, and decided to move forward on saving this crawl space. A lot of cleaning was done, our much more durable CleanSpace Liner was installed, along with our dehumidification and sump pump systems, and our Encapsulation System was complete. What an insane change!
This muddy and humid crawlspace was once completely exposed to the elements, causing all kinds of risk to moisture damage to this home. Now, the space is sealed and protected by our Cleanspace Liner, our sump pump system, and a crawlspace dehumidifier, meaning moisture, water seepage, or humidity has no chance at damaging this home now. Catch a look at all of these products at work in the provided images!
This homeowner needed a solution for moisture intrusion in her crawlspace. The water was so disruptive, it was causing mold, rot, and buckling floors. Corey Becker was the Design Specialist on this project and was able to design a custom solution that would permanently fix her moisture issue. We cleaned out the crawlspace, performed a mold treatment spray, and installed our encapsulation system.
