In Brookhaven, MS, a homeowner faced a persistent issue with a basement that occasionally leaked. Concerned about keeping it dry throughout the year, he turned to us at Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions. When our Customer Care Specialist was contacted, they promptly scheduled a home inspection. One of our dedicated System Design Specialists then visited the residence, performing a comprehensive inspection to pinpoint the sources of the leaks. After diagnosing the problem, we recommended our proven solution: installing CleanSpace®, WaterGuard®, and a TripleSafe™ Sump Pump system. To begin, our production team arrived ready and equipped. The first step was to implement the WaterGuard® sub-floor drainage system. Installed discreetly around the interior perimeter, it was designed to effectively capture wall and floor seepage. Next, CleanSpace® was installed, providing a sturdy moisture barrier that keeps even the slightest trace of dampness out. This durable liner transforms constantly damp areas into a dry, clean space. Finally, our team installed the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump system. Capable of handling high water volumes and designed to operate seamlessly during power outages, it covers every potential point of failure that traditional sump pumps often face. With these systems seamlessly integrated, the once-leaky basement transformed into a space the homeowner could rely on for storage without concerns of water damage. The completion of our work resulted in the desired outcome: a permanently dry, clean, and functional basement. At Midsouth Crawlspace Solutions, delivering a remarkable customer experience and lasting solutions is our mission, and this Brookhaven project is a testament to our dedication.
These two before and after images really showcase the upgrade that the CleanSpace Liner is, compared to a regular vapor barrier. We come across many crawl spaces where vapor barriers had originally been lazily thrown onto the dirt floor, resulting in a pulled away, torn, dirty mess of plastic once we arrived. The CleanSpace Liner, as you can see in the after image, is tightly secured not only to the floor of the crawl space, but to the walls, supports, and around all odd steps and curves. The CleanSpace Liner is also much thicker and durable than the average liner, meaning better protection over more surface area!
This home in central Mississippi was having issues with moisture buildup in the crawl space. They had a 6 mil plastic liner on the ground, but it was not helping with any of the moisture. The sub floors of his home were completely rotted out and had to be replaced. He saw one of our trucks on the road one day and gave us a call to see if we could help fix his crawl space. Our solutions for under the home are proven to work and we created a proposal for him to look over. We have great resources that explain why moisture builds up in the first place and how our solutions combat that. We were able to install our encapsulation system under his home and remove the old, nasty plastic that was lining the crawl space. Now, his crawl space is dry, clean, and protected. We left with a happy customer!
These two images were taken on the same job, inside the same crawlspace in Byram, Mississippi! Besides the much cleaner look, this crawlspace is also now much safer being equipped with out Cleanspace Liner, Crawlspace Dehumidifier, and perimeter drainage system.
This customer's home is now stabilized and settlement is no longer a worry, which is always our primary goal. Fortunately, we were also able to achieve some lift on this home, resulting in this window separation sealing up very nicely.
