MidSouth Crawl Space Solutions Before & After Photos

This homeowner needed a solution for moisture intrusion in her crawlspace. The water was so disruptive, it was causing mold, rot, and buckling floors. Corey Becker was the Design Specialist on this project and was able to design a custom solution that would permanently fix her moisture issue. We cleaned out the crawlspace, performed a mold treatment spray, and installed our encapsulation system. 

These before and after photos showcase a complete transformation for this crawl space in Bush, LA. Moisture problems had plagued the underside of this home for a while, but it couldn't be ignored when it started affecting their floors. Certain areas inside the home started to dip and some felt soft to walk on, very scary signs for any concerned homeowner. Our team came prepared to stabilize those floors, AND take care of the moisture problem that caused it in the first place. The jacks you see are a part of our SmartJack System, a solution that will permanently be supporting these joists from now on. They can even be easily adjusted to fit the home's future needs! This family home had an open crawlspace that was staying damp and causing moisture problems with the wood under the house. They had it bricked in so we could install our waterproofing encapsulation system. We recommend treating the crawlspace like a space inside the home; sealed off and regulated. Mold and moisture plaguing the crawlspace prompted this homeowner to give us a call. The home is 1900 square feet of crawlspace. He knew his problem would only get worse if he didn't address it immediately. With previous knowledge of our encapsulation system, he knew he was calling the right people. We sealed off the vents and openings, installed a sump pump in the lowest spot, lined it with our 20 mil liner, and finally placed a dehumidifier inside the crawlspace to regulate the humidity. Now his home is moisture free and it would be impossible for mold to grow on his joists with our system. 

These homeowners were unfortunately a bit late to tackling their crawl space moisture problems and had to have their floors replaced due to the damage. Immediately after, they reached out to us, searching for a way to prepare the underside of their home and prevent this from happening again. We sent out one of our system design specialists, Andrew, to take a thorough look and create a plan. Since then, one of our crews have already been out, and the solution they needed, an encapsulation, has been installed. You can see the major difference in the images!
