The contractor for this home in Tylertown called our office on behalf of their customer. They were struggling with a mildew problem that had grown from the crawlspace into the home as well. The dirt under the home was holding moisture creating an environment for mold growth that leads to rot. This is what causes the mildew smell to travel.
Brett DiBiase designed a waterproofing solution using our system to cure the moisture issues and keep them from returning. We treated the mold, installed our CleanSpace liner, sump pump, and dehumidifier system, and left the crawlspace better than when we found it.
It's hard to believe these two images were taken under the same home! This homeowner unfortunately put a good chunk of change into a french drain and standard vapor barrier, but she continued to find water in her crawlspace. In the provided images, you can see the old liner now replaced with our durable CleanSpace Liner that will hold strong against moisture. This is combined with a crawlspace dehumidifier and sump pump, both working from different angles to send water and humidity out of the crawlspace. We are happy that we could finally provide this home with a permanent fix.
In these before and after photos you can catch a glimpse at some of the most vital parts of our encapsulation system. The white vapor barrier you see along the ground and up the walls of the crawl space is our CleanSpace Liner. It helps seal the crawl space and act as a shield against ground moisture. In the front of the image is our efficient crawl space dehumidifier, constantly working to keep this space at a much lower and safer humidity level. Behind the dehumidifier is our sump pump system, any collected water from below the liner, from the dehumidifier, or extra seepage will be sent away from the crawl space with a powerful, battery backed up pump.
Though there was plastic sheeting down in parts of the crawlspace, this home in Kokomo was still having moisture issues with their crawlspace. As we commonly see, the moisture was causing their floors to buckle inside the home. Thankfully, they called our office and we were able to help them come up with a personalized solution for the issue!
Melissa Johnson was the rep for this home, and walked them through the process of encapsulation. They decided it was their best option and had it installed! We removed the plastic sheeting as it holds and traps water droplets, causing mold and musty smells. Our system will eliminate these smells and helps the crawlspace stay clean and dry. Once the moisture is gone, the floors usually settle down as they dry out.
This Morton, Mississippi home was struggling with settlement. It was really affecting the doors and windows in the center of the house. The homeowners gave our office a call and we sent Scottie S. to inspect it. He found significant sagging that could be resolved by fitting our SmartJacks underneath the home to support it. Our crew promptly went out and were able to achieve some great lift, including getting these double doors to open and close without the struggle they have previously had!
