Check out the difference our talented concrete crew was able to make on this slab! This crack had grown to quite a dangerous size, acting as a tripping hazard and an entrance for moisture. This moisture finding its way under the slab and causing erosion is why it has also begun to settle and drop away from the wall next to it. Fortunately, we came prepared with solutions for both of these problems. Our expanding foam, PolyFoam, was injected into the created void, filling it in and leveling the slab back up. To prevent this from happening further, we sealed in the crack with NexusPro, a durable and weather-resistant crack sealant. The fear of tripping and future settlement are no longer!

This actually isn't the first crawl space we have worked on for this family! The owner of this home reached out to us to see what could be done for the underside of his home after we encapsulated his father's crawl space. Both homes were seeing similar issues, including standing water, high humidity, and mold. This crawl space actually already had a vapor barrier installed as a way to try to protect against moisture, but as you can see in the before photo, it wasn't doing the greatest job. Our crew came in and replaced this barrier with our CleanSpace Liner, a much thicker liner that is secured to every part of the crawl space, walls and supports included. To reduce humidity, they removed all the soaked insulation, made the crawl space air tight, and installed a dehumidifier. Local moisture from the ground, and water that may somehow find its way into the crawl space, is collected with our TripleSafe Sump Pump system, and send out of the underside of the home. Both homes are now as protected as they can get against dangerous moisture, and mold has no moist areas to thrive. This crawl space was inspected by our system design specialist, Andrew, and the encapsulation was installed by one of our foremen, Noah. Great job team!

It is hard to believe that these two images were taken inside the same crawl space. It once contained moisture, fallen insulation, and trash, but now all of that has been replaced by our Encapsulation System! Visually the difference is striking, but even more important, the level of moisture control is much different as well. Our CleanSpace Liner is covering the ground, supports, and walls of the crawl space to act as a barrier against moisture, while our crawl space dehumidifier and sump pump system are in place to regulate humidity and send away collected water. We're proud of the difference our team was able to make!
