Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Moisture in the crawlspace was causing this home's floors to buckle inside the living area. Melissa Johnson, one of our talented Design Specialists, performed the inspection and estimate on this home. 

From our estimate, the customer agreed that this was the best way forward and had the encapsulation put in. We cleaned out any debris and were careful not to disturb the wires, pipes, and other units down in the crawlspace. Now his crawlspace will stay free of moisture and his floors won't buckle or cup again. 

Moisture in the crawlspace was causing this 1400 square foot home to experience severe musty smells and growing fungi. Corey Becker inspected the crawlspace and found their problem is something we can fix permanently! We sealed off all the vents to the outside, installed a sump pump in the ground to catch the ground water, and totally encapsulated the crawlspace, keeping it safe from moisture and humidity. Finally, we added a dehumidifier that connects to the pump to regulate the air quality.

These homeowners excitedly moved into their new home, but unfortunately had a few issues to overcome before they could focus on turning it into their dream home. Some areas were damp, some had standing water, it was a result of it going completely unprotected for its nearly 70 years of life.  When we sent one of our design specialists out to inspect the home, they discovered that the floors were beginning to buckle, and we doubt this is the first time either, there's no telling how many times the subfloors and floors have had to been replaced due to the trapped moisture below. In order to prevent this and the other side effects that moisture can bring, we installed our encapsulation system. You can see the large difference this makes visually in the before and after image, but it is also going to make a massive difference when it comes to the safety and protection of this home and its future. The CleanSpace Liner is covering each part of the crawl space and blocking out seepage, while our dehumidifier and sump pump systems collect moisture from the air and around the crawl space to keep it safe and dry.
