Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

In the before photo, notice the exposed dirt crawl space in Lumberton, MS, plagued by high humidity and increased moisture levels. This condition often leads to mold growth, wood rot, and potential health hazards traveling upwards throughout the home. We were able to eradicate these concerns using our CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system, shown in the after photo. Our durable CleanSpace liner, treated with an antimicrobial finish, ensures a moisture-free environment, combating mold, mildew, and pests. Much has been added to this once damp, unprotected crawl space! When the humidity under the home got bad enough to buckle their floors, they knew they needed a change. The Crawl Space Encapsulation has brought them a major and permanent change! The white plastic you now see covering the underside of the home is our CleanSpace Liner, a very durable vapor barrier that covers the floors, walls, and supports of the entire space. You can also see two devices next to each other, our Crawl Space Dehumidifier and our Sump Pump system.  Both work constantly and together to collect moisture from the ground and air, and send it away from the crawl space. To protect some of the weaker floors, we also have installed some of our Smart Jacks, you can see one behind the dehumidifier. This will remain in the crawl space to act as a very stable support. This home has never been safer!

Many people look to standard vapor barriers as a cheap and quick fix to the moisture problems under their homes. Time and time again, we've had homeowners reach out to us to help them with moisture issues, even though they already own and have paid for a vapor barrier. They're thin, they move and leave ground exposed, and we've even seen plenty of them completely degraded. The permanent solution you expect from a standard vapor barrier, can actually be found in our CleanSpace Liner. This liner is much thicker, much more durable, and works perfectly with our crawl space dehumidifiers and sump pumps to create a completely moisture-proofed environment. You'll see that the CleanSpace Liner in these photos is spread tightly against the ground, AND up the crawl space walls and supports. This liner won't be moving, and it certainly won't let any ground water seepage past it.

This very tall crawlspace was struggling with water leaking in and getting trapped. It was causing mold and mildew to build up. Trapped moisture under this home was causing a multitude of issues including rotten floor joists and rotten subflooring. We were able to install this job within a couple weeks after the inspection and left with a happy customer! Their crawlspace is now dry and healthy and will stay that way for the life of the home.
